Owner/Head Horticulturist/Designer
I have been interested in horticulture from a young age, caring for my parents garden since I was ten. From age thirteen I took full control of the garden, redesigning and maintaining, I have the pleasure to say that I produced food for the house all-year-round.
From age sixteen, leaving school, I decided to take my hobby to a professional level and studded Horticulture for three years, I am happy to say that my final year at Chichester College gaining Gold for a show garden that we built and Left with Double Distinction* (star) from the course.
While studying at Chichester College, I was working part-time gaining experience with a large county estate in the heart of the South Downs, then I moved to a National Trust Property, Woolbeding Gardens in Midhurst, West Sussex.
After leaving The National Trust, I progressed to The Royal Horticultural Societies (RHS) Garden at Wisley in Surrey, while working with The RHS I was studying a RHS Level 4 course (equivalent to a Foundation Degree).
Once leaving the RHS, that is where I decided to start my business, JD Horticultural Services, also studying a Level 4 in Garden Design.
